First off, let me start by saying I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas time! The past few days have been spent pretty much glued to the sofa watching films, drinking prossecco and eating a lot. I wouldn't have it any other way, and I hope yours were like that too!

Now to cast my mind back to the start of December (seems so long ago now doesn't it?), when Luke and I took a trip to Liverpool as a little festive getaway. Just to chill out and explore a new city was so much fun, and it helped that it wasn't too far away (no one really loves the actual traveling part of going away, do they?). Despite living in Manchester for the past 4 years, this was the first time I had ever been to Liverpool.

Liverpool One is definitely worth a visit for the shopping if you are ever in the city. We didn't go with the intention of shopping but, obviously, we ended up strolling around the shopping district. It's pretty much all outdoor, which was great, but cold. Also Albert Dock's is a must to add to your visit list. It's so beautiful and scenic, as I'm sure you can see from the photos I snapped above.

Doesn't that blue drink create instant flashbacks to being 16 years old drinking WKD? Or is that just me? The thought alone knocks me slightly sick, but these cocktails themselves were pretty wonderful. They genuinely tasted of blueberry. Not WKD. Just to clarify.

Breakfast at Moose Cafe was THE ONE. Highly recommend as a breakfast/ brunch destination if you're ever in L'pool. Or Manchester! The Double Dutch Bacon pancakes.... oh my. Anyway, I promise we didn't just go to Liverpool for the food and drink, we actually went to one of the many museums the city has to offer, and as you can see, took some super mature photos, as always.

I'm desperate to book another little getaway.. so make sure to leave any suggestions you might have below. Thanks Guys!
